Asun'ghar is a mysterious and enigmatic figure of Necromundan legend, a powerful spirit speaker known to many as the Lady of Ash.

The Skalvian Explorator is an indomitable example of Ironhead Squat technology, a heavy all-terrain exploration and excavation vehicle suited to extracting the wealth of the Great Equatorial Wastes, surviving its many perils, and ferrying cargo back to safety. Though the Ironhead Squat Prospectors are master weapon makers, much of their equipment is based upon mining tools, and the Explorator's armoured bulk makes it a match for many purpose-built war machines.

Ash Waste Nomads have inhabited the Great Equatorial Wastes for as long as anyone can remember. Unlike the outcasts and scavvies, these rugged survivors are born to the wastes, adapted to life in a desolate and deadly environment. Their ragged clothes, rebreather masks, and scavenged weaponry strike terror into the denizens of the hive cities – a fearsome reputation the Nomads exploit as they raid caravans crossing the wastes, seizing sustenance and equipment.

House Escher is unique among the great Houses of Necromunda, for its gangs are made up entirely of women. Masters of pharmaceuticals and chemical manipulation, what an Escher may lack in terms of raw physical strength, she more than makes up for in speed, skill and sheer psychotic flair.
